Our KBF school gives children within Kolkata the chance to learn to read, write and speak Bengali and English. This means they can gain entry to government schools, opening up a world of opportunities to them.
Through our class sponsorship program we are currently able to support over 20 children in schools in Kolkata which is amazing! However, there are still many more children who are waiting for places in our classes.
Our class sponsorship program is just £15 a month
The money will also go towards paying for vital resources to enable the project to continue, such as teachers’ salaries and renting and maintaining the building used by KBF. The money also contributes towards: –
- Stationery and books to support their studies.
- Government school fees and the cost of uniforms are covered if they are attending the local formal school.
- Food and clean drinking water provided by the project.
The children love receiving letters, photographs and small gifts from you and in turn you will receive a letter and a drawing from your class twice a year.
